Hello and happy nearly October; what a month September has been.

A month full of self discovery and great coaching sessions; and a month of fulfilling coaching dreams; beginning to coach a GB level triathlete and my own cycling coach to boot.

The children are well, flourishing and enjoying school (they were home-schooled until a year ago) and Dominique and I are still enjoying memories from our trip to Cornwall.

This month’s newsletter is a starting point for what’s to come; life is an iteration on what went before.

Every month this newsletter will start with the first of my life buckets ‘Sustenance’ - a blog, post or share which has provided food for my mind, body or soul - which has fallen into my vision in this past month.

We will then move onto my other ‘life buckets’:

• Work - We spend a lot of time in work; is it good work, do we feel we are making a difference and are we being recognised for what we do? Let’s make it so.

• Rest - We all need rest, how much time, who we spend time with and how we spend that time is important? Let’s create space.

• Play - What we do that brings us joy in our hearts - when are we at play? Be it sport, be it music, be it reading, be it walking. How do we revitalise ourselves so that we can work and rest contentedly.

Helping good people lead great things.

‘Sustenance’ - a blog, post or share which has provided food for my mind, body or soul - which has fallen into my vision in this past month.

This month, the article “The Psychology Behind Effective Crisis Leadership” reminds me that I, like so many I work with are good in a crisis. In that moment our sense of purpose removes our concerns of being an imposter of, the concerns over whether we should take control and this in turn enables us to act in a way which is our natural selves - often in flow.

It asks me; what am I like when the fear of not acting overtakes the fear of acting and the answer for me is brave, assertive, dynamic and direct.

Have a read and ask yourself the same question.

My question for you; is what would help you to be fearless in your day to day life?

So many of my clients are determined to succeed; where it comes from is a deep seated desire to make life better for those around them and for the world at large. They feel, even if they don’t know at first the implication of not fixing what they are driven to fix and they are drawn to the vision of what life could be like when ‘it’s put right’.

It separates those that think from those that do.
