7th May - Is the ‘forum’ broken?

“We’re good at expressing positions and staging disagreement, but far less effective at turning complexity into something that actually shifts.

And that matters - because the gap between voice and consequence is widening. We confuse visibility with effectiveness, and debate with progress.

The deeper question it leaves me with is this: if our political and public systems aren’t generating real agency, true forums for working through complexity, or sustained movement - then what are they actually doing?

Perhaps the 7th of May provides an opportunity to ‘lean’ into this”.
